Oneida Lake duck hunting in the news!

On Nov. 10, Oneida Lake Association vice president Matthew Snyder and OLA member Kevin Hammerschmidt invited David Figura, outdoors writer for the Syracuse Post-Standard, on a duck hunt on Oneida Lake. The group pursued scaup--known locally as bluebills--and engaged Figura in a discussion of issues that are important to Oneida Lake's waterfowl hunting community, including recent changes in how scaup seasons and limits are set.
